This morning I was up early and feeling industrious and decided to whip up a few more Snowman Soup gifts for our Christmas family gathering this evening. I have been wanting to try these ice cream cone looking ones and after seeing them in the Hallmark Store and other places for $5 each I really knew I wanted to make them. They are so easy to do and look very cute. Each cone holds two packages of cocoa which makes the cone, then a cup of marshmallows that make the ice cream. I sprinkled green and red sugar over the marshmallows and then crushed peppermint on top of that. Very festive looking! I tied them with Stampin' Up!'s 1/4" Real Red grosgrain ribbon then attached a Snowman Soup for Two poem (see below for poem) with Stampin' Up!'s silver elastic cord.
Here is the poem I wrote for my packages:
When it's nippy outside and your feet are cold,
Here's something to warm you up.
Grab a friend and this snowman soup,
And divide it in two cups.
Add hot water and stir very well,
Enjoy the taste and the wonderful smell!
Your feet will warm, your heart will too,
As you enjoy a friend and your snowman soup.
Merry Christmas to everyone and have a wonderful prosperous New Year! May 2010 bestow many blessings on your and yours!
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
