This weekend was the Fall Sleepover, a semi annual event hosted by my up-upline and participated in by both customers and demonstrators. The fall air was wonderful! We were in a lodge at a camp in the woods by the water...nice! In the spring we will have the Spring Sleepover, tentative date March 26th and 27th most likely at the same place. This was a scrapbooking weekend with classes that anyone can take for a fee if they choose. This year there were ten classes taught by 4 demonstrators. We had such a great time with good friends and the food was awesome as always! I am sharing the class I taught at the sleepover and I plan to teach it again at our January Northpark crop if you are interested in taking this class. The stand up tote is made from one sheet of Night and Day Specialty Series Paper and tied with this luscious Whisper White Organza ribbon. If I haven't mentioned it before, this ribbon takes color like butter! Try dying this ribbon with a reinker and water or perhaps tea dying. It is beautiful!
OK, back to the project. I really don't know who to credit with this
tote idea. It was on a blog I had bookmarked in my old laptop that died and
I have tried to find the link searching the blogs I thought I found it on but can't locate it so if it is yours let me know
and I'll give you credit. It is a very creative way to make the tote.
The four cards are my design and were made with various stamp sets, dies, ribbon, hardware, embossing, cardstock and dsp. The insides were stamped and the envelopes were stamped.
The four cards are grouped below. I will have this posted on my Stampin' Up! website calendar as www.marthabeck.stampinup.net. Happy stamping!
