Décor Elements - new home decor from Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! has a new element in home decor that you can order starting July 1st - vinyl clings to be used on surfaces in your home!  These clings will match some of our stamp sets making them doubly appealing.

Several elements of these vinyl clings have been made available to demonstrators as a preorder and are available  in chocolate and white with a multitude of sizes and shapes.  This is an exciting venture and one I plan to use in my own home. If you would like a brochure describing this new product email me at gadgetgirlsu@gmail.com.  I can email the online version or I should have hardcopy brochures in my hands in a few days.  You will like what you see!  

A bit of trivia about these clings: they are removable but not reuseable. They work better on smooth walls and surfaces, however, some demos are reporting good results on a slightly textured surface.  There is a small, inexpensive, applicator tool for purchase separately.  The use for these is limited only by your imagination.  Think not only walls but mirrors, picture frames, ceiling fan blades, cabinet doors, tiles, windows, refrigerator, shower and shower door, doors, car windows, dorm rooms (what a headache trying to decorate those!), rental property, and, hey, how about the toilet seat (those are pretty unattractive, huh!).  Just think, no more holes in the walls from hanging pictures and moving them about. 

There will be more colors and different choices available as time goes on.  Get ready, your house will never be the same!

Father's Day Projects

Wow, what a soggy Saturday this has turned out to be!  My grandson is on an allstar's team and we have a game in 30 minutes so this will have to be quick...I have to be in the cheering section!

Here are a couple of Father's Day Projects that many of you have probably seen, but perhaps not all of you. At my hostess club last week we did the oh so clever man's billfold from Lori Heilings and Danni Graves did a wonderful tutorial for this. We also did Lauren Meader's insanely cute baby onesie.  Thanx to all you talented gals for sharing!  I made a boy onesie as an example, but in class we actually made the little yellow onesie.  We had one more project but due to time constraints I won't do that one today.

There have been several boxer shorts cards floating around. One of my grandkids stopped by to make a card for his dad for Father's Day (yes, I am training them to make their cards!!) and lacking a pattern for boxer shorts, simply drew one up.  I mean, how hard are boxers to draw...the name kinda gives you a hint...a box!

Look at all the pockets to put things in here.  I have a Dairy Queen card to add and a couple more things. This could be a Happy Birthday, Graduation, wedding gift for a male member of a wedding party, soooo many things.  I want to make it in pink and put a snap closure on it for a girl...so cute!  Bling it up a bit.

I snipped the legs off the brads and glued them on with Crystal Effects but the real baby snaps would be so much cuter on this or maybe those teeny tiny white baby buttons. This was such a fun card to make!

Here's the fun!

Prior to eScape day, Saturday June 21 at 10 a.m., I am hosting an eScape event at my house where we will make 8 cards, envelopes included, for only $16. This will be an assortment and I will have a greeting station where you can choose a variety of  greetings for your cards.

 RSVP, please, by next Tuesday, June 10th if you would like a seat to gadgetgirlsu@gmail.com and put eScape Event in your subject line.  Bring your drink, adhesive and scissors and include an extra $5 if you want lunch.  Seating is limited to the first 7 people.  I will hold a second session if needed if this date isn't good for you. Let me know what dates you will be available. I accept Paypal and checks, however you must get the check to me by Tuesday.

Bonus Cards:  If you wish to order the eScape bundle I want to tell you this.  The Love Notes assortment is 3"x3" and is not mailable in the provided envelopes (30 notes in Soft Sky, Rose Red and Very Vanilla, envelopes included).  If you wish to mail the notes they will have to be put into a standard card envelope.  However, I think this is an excellent opportunity to make cares to hand out personally or as gift tags.  Leave a note on a co-workers day, put one in a lunchbox, tape one where your loved one or friend will find it, hand them out to store clerks and bank tellers.  They will be surprised and you will put a smile on their face.  I will have 5 designs for anyone wanting the bundle and you can use my stamps and ink to make as many as you like while you are here, or take the rest home and use your own stamps to complete many cards.   Deadline to order the bundle is Tuesday, June 10th. No orders will be accepted after that to have the bundle in time for the class, but if you decide you want the bundle after seeing it at the class then I will order it for you that day.

More Fresh Cuts

I am having so much fun with the new Fresh Cuts sneak preview set! Here are a couple more.  I planned to post yesterday but had a fishing date with some of my favorite little guys! Didn't catch anything but memories. I haven't been fishing in about five years. It felt great to have the wind blowing through my hair as I zipped down the lake.  On to the cards.  These are very simple and can be completed in minutes. The River Rock card shown below is a gift card holder but I didn't take a pic of the inside.

OK, that's all until tomorrow.  I have been cutting projects for Stamp Club on Saturday but don't want to post the porjects yet.  Maybe I'll give a sneak peek tomorrow.
